Bikram Yoga Mentors

Meet your Yoga Advisors. Your Yoga Advisor will be your most important contact at Bikram Yoga Brighton

Yoga Advisors

Our Yoga Advisors at Bikram Yoga Brighton are here to help you get the most out of your yoga experience. Below is a short introduction to our two Yoga Advisors, Karen and Chantelle. Karen and Chantelle will be you first port of call when you arrive or call Bikram Yoga Brighton. Both ladies will welcome you with open arms and assist you in any way they can to make your first and subsequent visits the best experience possible.

Karen and Chantelle will call you after your first class to ensure you had the best possible experience and encourage you to come to class at least three to four times before you decide whether Bikram Yoga is for you.

Please do not hesitate to call us if you need any questions answered.

BY_LR_45Karen Patching

Karen Patching joined Bikram Yoga Brighton four and a half years ago. During that time her job has evolved quite a bit. Karen is now Studio Manager and general Financer. If the truth be known she is the boss around here. Karen is also a Yoga Advisor. During the day Karen will always be your first port of call when you visit the studio.
Karen has been here from the start and she knows what you all like and how to keep you happy, if you want to get round her chocolate seems to work well I find.

If you need some sunshine and smiles you'll find Karen at the reception desk most week days.

Chantelle Darby

Chentelle joined Bikram Yoga Brighton in March 2012 after returning from Greece where she lived and worked for the past 13 years.

As well as being a qualified teacher of Yin & Yang Yoga she gained her Personal Trainer certification in February this year.

Chantelle's first Bikram Yoga class was in Australia 10 years ago while travelling and she has practised off and on ever since.

Chantelle is determined to practise regularly when she is not working behind the desk at Bikram Yoga Brighton as our evening Yoga Advisor.

Her other interests are swimming, running, music and nutrition as well as all things Yogic. You will find Chantelle at the desk every evening.

Acknowledge your boundaries, but expect them to change

As we age, our muscles tend to get stiffer, creating more pressure on our joints. By regular stretching we prevent this gradual deterioration. That is why yoga has a rejuvenating effect. Through regular Bikram Yoga practice we liberate vast amounts of energy, which we can use in our daily lives to feel more alive and fulfilled. We thus look and feel younger.

This routine is dynamic and exhilarating. The room is hot to allow a deeper stretch without risk of injury. The series works equally well for the beginner or advanced student. Bikram says, "Never too late, never too old, never too bad or too sick to do this yoga and start from scratch again."

Some days you won't feel like coming at all. These are the days that yoga will benefit you the most.
