Rajeshree's pregnancy series class will now be moved to Mondays at 2.15pm starting from Monday 16 April 2012.
Come along on Mondays at 2:15pm and try our Pregnancy Yoga class. We will be following Rajashree's pregnancy series. This is the same series as the Bikram Series, but without the heat. The studio will be warm to aid you in your practice, but not heated to 45 degrees. The postures are modified to allow for your growing bump.

We will be splitting the class into two age groups from 19th April. At 3.45pm we will have 4 to 7 years old. The children's class costs £5. At 4.15 - 5.15pm we will have the 8 - 17 youth class, which costs £8.
Our youth are the adults of tomorrow, so we need to make sure that they stay fit and healthy. Kids Yoga classes are now available every Thursday at 3.45pm. There will be no heat, but we will follow the same series with some added fun. If we have a great deal of interest we will add more classes. We look forward to seeing you there.
The UK Yoga Asana Championships were amazing. Congratulations go to Ricardo who won silver for the second year in a row. He will now represent the UK in the International Bishnu Cup Championships in LA later this year. Ayesha came away with a well deserved bronze.
We had our first Youth Demonstration, showing the UK what potential champions we have in our youth. Since we have just started our youth classes this was a great opportunity for them to show off. Unfortunately, two girls from our group were unable to make it. Asher did though and he did us proud, as you can see in this video clip of their performance. Well done guys, you were amazing!!

Posture of The Month - Pranayama Breathing
Pranayama deep breathing is good for your lungs and respiratory system. You breathe in by the nose and out through the mouth; nose and mouth are only passageways. Breathe as much as possible, as slowly as possible, as long as possible, but always in through the nose.
Here is a short video to help you to improve your pranayama breathing techniques. Pranayama is good for your lungs and respiratory system. So it can really help if you have asthma, emphysema and any other respiratory problems. You can increase your lung capacity as well as the elasticity of your lungs. Great if you are a swimmer or singer and really rely on your lungs to improve your performance. Pranayama is a diaphramatic breath that uses your whole ribcage.
Your spine must be straight throughout the entire posture, so no leaning back.
Our monthly clinics are a great opportunity to learn more about your postures. These clinics are generally free. Every few months, however, we will get in an expert. Last month we had Dr Rebecca Nicholas, helping us with our postures and injuries. There was a nominal cost for this of £7.50. The information and time spent was well worth it. Thank you for all those who attended and gave us great feedback. We will repeat this again due to popular demand.
